This study aimed to assess how psychological stress impacts the experience asthma symptoms (e.g., breathlessness, cough) and lung function (e.g., daily variability of peak flow) in the workplace and to identify the physiological mechanisms underlying this association.

The results from this study could get a thorough understanding of the potential dampening effects of stress on the development of asthma at work, and better recognition of how psychological stress is a risk factor in people with occupational asthma.
