This study will look at how smoking affects how the body responds to an episode of mental stress (such as a math task under time pressure, or an argument with a spouse). We will be comparing how traditional (combustible) cigarettes produce different responses to e-cigarettes, which may in turn be different to when smokers do not smoke (abstain). We will also be testing non-smokers to see if there is a difference between non-smokers, and smokers when they are asked not to smoke.
