This project examines the perceptions of four key stakeholder groups (youth, pediatricians, bariatric surgeons, and health administrators) on the use of bariatric surgery for youth and young adults within the context of the treatment and management of morbid obesity. This qualitative study integrates an arts-based component with the use of body map storytelling with youth, and will focus on the ways in which socio-cultural factors shape individual perceptions and intersect with health decision-making processes.
