MBMC co-directors Drs. Simon Bacon and Kim Lavoie will serve as jury members for the 2019 Manulife Prize for the Promotion of Active Health. The prize is valued at $50,000 and is offered each year by McGill University to a Canadian academic whose research has contributed to understanding how factors such as physical activity, nutrition, fitness, or psychosocial context can influence personal health and well-being. Jury participants are selected for their important national or international research implications related to active health.
The Bloomberg Manulife Prize was founded in May 2011 to create an influential prize that will have the power to bring real and lasting change to the way we live. The prize recognizes and supports researchers having a profound impact on the health and well-being of their fellow citizens.
