    Centre de réadaptation Jean-Jacques-Gauthier
Facilitating the return to active life for people with cardiac and respiratory diseases.

The Centre de réadaptation cardio-respiratoire Jean-Jacques-Gauthier (CRJJG) facilitates the return to active life for people with cardiac and respiratory diseases. It also improves hospital care by promoting the adoption of healthy lifestyles (exercise, healthy diet, smoking cessation, etc.).

In collaboration with the YMCA Cartierville, the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal (HSCM) inaugurated the Centre de réadaptation cardio-respiratoire Jean-Jacques-Gauthier (CRJJG) in October 2010. In addition to its clinical activities, CRJJG’s develops respiratory and cardiac health research programs. It also provides an exceptional environment for the interdisciplinary training of students and health professionals from various fields. Since its opening, the CRJJG has welcomed 10 funded research projects, for a total of nearly 2 million dollars. More than a dozen researchers, health professionals and students are involved in research projects in several areas including exercise science, psychology, cardiology and pulmonology.
